That’s why the Zwilling J.A. henckels Four Star series is typically recommended for more serious home cooks or chefs. Another reason for this recommendation is the cost of the sets themselves. Typically these sets go for $400 at retail, although you can certainly buy them online for about half that.
Even with such a high price tag, Henckel’s Four Star brand of knives deliver. They’re made of high carbon, a very hard steel, and thus keeps there sharpness longer then the typical stainless steel. A sharpener is included so their edge can be reestablished after some use. They are dishwasher safe and stainless steel, but its suggested that you hand wash them to help keep the blade sharp. The blades are forged, not stamped, which means that the blades cut better and last longer than knives created by other means.
If you are or know a really serious cook, any Zwilling J.A. Henckels Four Star knife set is a must purchase. They are expensive but buy them online for less than $250 and you won’t be disappointed. 5 out of 5
