Despite being mostly known for their Swiss Army knives, there is a lot to like Victorinox kitchen knives. I think the handle needs to be addressed first. They’re comfortable to hold, the weight is well balanced, and can easily be gripped even while wet. There is simply a great feel to using Victorinox knives.
The single most important aspect for any knife is how long they’ll last. In this case, they’ll last a very long time which is good as Victorinox knives aren’t cheap. They also won’t stay sharp if you wash them with a dishwasher, hand washing only.
Regardless if you choose an individual knife or a block set, Victorinox knives are well worth the price for the most serious cooks out there. They’re edge will cut through anything and work well in any kitchen. While they might not have the best “show off” appeal, any cook would be comfortable using them.
